Ingredients:
- Beerakaya/ Ridge Gourd - 1 chopped
- Green Chilli - 2 chopped
- Red chilli/ Endu Mirpakaya - 1
- Senaga Pappu/ Chana Dal - 1 tbsp
- Minapappu/ Urad Dal - 1 tbsp
- Avalu/Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Jeelakarra/Cumin seeds - 1tsp
- Chintapandu/ Tamarind - 1tbsp soaked in water
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.
- Once spulttering starts add red chilli, chana dal, urad dal and green chillies and fry for 5minutes.
- Now add chopped ridge gourd/beerakaya mukkalu and fry for 15minutes or until ridge gourd is tender.
- Cool the above mixture then grind it along with tamarind and salt, if required add few water.
