Mudda Pappu Recipe



Ingredients:
  • Kandi Pappu (Toor dal) - 1 cup 
  • 2 Cups of water
  • Garlic - 4 flakes
  • Karvepaaku (Curry Leaves) - 2 Stems
  • Jeelakarra (Cumin seeds) - 1 teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon 
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste


Method :

  • Wash kandi pappu thoroughly.
  • Mash garlic cloves and Jeelakarra and keep aside.
  • Now take a Pressure cooker. Add kandi pappu, water, mashed garlic and jeelakarra, karvepaaku, oil and turmeric powder.
  • Pressure cook it for 15minutes in low flame.
  • Remove it and add salt according to taste.
  • Serve hot with rice and ghee.
