What You Need:
- Raw Banana - 1 cut into cubes
- Senaga Pappu/Chana Dal - 1Cup
- Green Chillies - 2
- Fresh Coconut - 3tbsp
- Onion - 1 chop into 4pieces
- Allam/Ginger - 1tsp
- Rice powder - 4tbsp or more required
- Coriander leaves - 2tbsp chopped finely
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep fry
How To Cook:
- Soak Senaga Pappu/Chana Dal for 3hours in water. Drain water and keep aside.
- Boil chopped banana with salt in water until they are well cooked. Drain water and keep aside.
- Grind soaked senaga pappu/chana dal, green chillies, fresh coconut, allam/ginger, onion and salt to a fine smooth mixture.
- In a bowl mix well chopped banana, above grind-ed mixture, rice powder and coriander leaves.
- Add more rice powder(if required) to make the mixture thick.
- Make small balls with the dough in such way that banana should be stuffed inside and the mixture should be on outer-side.
- Now heat oil in a pan. Deep fry these balls until they turn golden color.
- Serve hot with tomato sauce or with coconut coriander chutney.
