Chicken Curry Recipe
Ingredients:
Chicken - 1Kg
Onions chopped- 2
Ginger Garlic paste- 2 tbsp
Yoghurt/curd- 5 tablespoon
Red chilli powder- 4 tbsp
Coriander powder -2 tbsp
Garam masala- 1/2 teaspoon or pinch
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Dry coconut powder- 2tbsp
Dhaniyalu/coriander seeds- 1tsp
Gasagasalu/ -1 tbsp
Oil- 6 tbsp
Salt to taste
Dalchini/Cinnamon -1
Elachi/Cardamom-4
Lavangam/Cloves-2
Saajeera- 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves -1 bunch finely chopped
Pudina/mint leaves- 1/2 bunch
Methi leaves- 3 tbsp
Method:
Mix Chicken, yoghurt/curd, ginger garlic paste(1tbsp), red chilli powder, dhaniya powder, garam masala & turmeric powder and marinate for 45minutes in deep freezer.
For Gravy: Grind Onions, coconut powder, dhaniyalu, gasagasalu and ginger garlic paste(1tbsp) to a fine paste and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan. Add elachi, cloves, dalchini, and saajeera & fry for 1minute.
Now add the grinded paste and fry in low flame till the paste turns brown color.
Add Coriander leaves, pudina leaves and menthi aaku/methi leaves. Fry for 5minutes.
Now add the marinated chicken and fry 10 minutes.
Add 1 cup of water and allow it boil for 30 to 40minutes or until the chicken is done.
Hmm Yummy Spicy chicken is ready :)
Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
