Lemon Rice Recipe


Ingredients:
  • Boiled rice - 1 bowl
  • Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp or 1 lemon
  • Curry leaves/ karvepaaku - 2stems chopped
  • Green Chillies - 3 sliced  lengthwise
  • Red chillies - 1
  • Peanuts/pallilu- 2tbsp 
  • Cashewnuts- 6
  • Garlic - 4 flakes chopped
  • Avalu/mustard seeds - 1tsp
  • Jeelakarra/cumin seeds- 1tsp
  • Minapappu/urad dal - 1tsp
  • Senaga pappu/chana dal - tsp
  • Turmeric powder/ pasupu- 1tsp
  • Oil - 3tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:
  • Mix boiled rice, lemon juice and salt and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.
  • Add red chillies, peanuts and fry for 5minutes.
  • Now add urad dal, chana dal, green chillies and garlic and fry for 5mintues.
  • Add cashewnuts and fry for 1minute.
  • Finally add rice and fry for few minutes.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney.
