Atukulu/Rice Flakes Chudwa

Ingredients:
  • Atukulu/Rice Flakes/poha - 500gms
  • Onion - 1 big sliced
  • Garlic - 15 to 20 flakes chopped
  • Green Chillies - 5 cut into lengthwise
  • Curry Leaves/Karvepaaku - 5 stems
  • Peanuts/Pallilu - 2tbsp
  • Putnalu/Roasted dal- 2tbsp
  • Avalu/mustard seeds - 1 1/2tsp
  • Jeelakarra/cumin seeds- 1 1/2tsp
  • Turmeric powder/pasupu - 1tsp
  • Red Chillies - 3
  • Oil - 5tbsp
  • Salt to taste


Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.
  • Once spluttering starts, add sliced green chillies, and fry for 1mintue.
  • Now add sliced onions, garlic, peanuts, red chillies and putnalu and fry for few minutes or till the onion turns golden brown.
  • Now add karvepaaku/curry leaves, salt and turmeric powder and fry for a minute.
  •  Add atukulu/poha and mix well all the ingredients and fry for 15 to 20minutes or until atukulu becomes crispy.
  • Allow it to cool down then store it in a container.
