Tomato gujju curry


Ingredients:
  • Tomatoes - 4 chopped
  • Garlic - 8 flakes
  • Curry leaves/karvepaaku- 1stem
  • Bellam/jaggery - 1tsp
  • Avalu/mustard seeds - 1tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 2tsp
  • Dhaniya/coriander powder - 1tsp
  • Godma pindi/aata or rice flour(biyampindi) - 1tsp
  • Oil - 1tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Water - 1cup
  • Coriande leaves chopped - 2tbsp
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add avalu and allow it to splutter.
  • Add garlic flakes, curry leaves and fry for 2minutes.
  • Now turn off the stove and add red chilli powder, dhaniya powder and Aata or rice flour.
  • Turn on the stove and add tomatoes and fry for 5mintues and add water, salt, jaggery.
  • Allow it to boil for 5minutes in full flame.
  • Then put in a low flame and fry until the tomatoes are well cooked or until you get thick gravy.
  • Finally garnish it with coriander leaves
