Ingredients:
- Bendakayalu(Okra) - 250gms chopped
- Onion - 1 finely chopped
- Green Chillies - 4 chopped
- Garlic - 6 flakes
- Curry Leaves (Karvepaaku) - 1 stem
- Menthiaaku (Fenugreek Leaves) - 2tbsp
- Coriander Leaves - 2tbsp
- Avalu (mustard seeds)- 1tsp
- Jeelakarra (cumin seeds)-1tsp
- Senaga (chana dal) pappu - 1tbsp
- Minapappu (urad dal)- 1tsp
- Oil - 2tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat 1/2tbsp of oil in a pan. Add chopped okra/bendakayalu and fry for 15minutes in a low flame and keep it aside.
- Take a pan and heat remaining oil. Add avalu, jeelakarra and allow it to splutter. Once spluttering starts add senaga pappu, minapappu and fry for 5minutes.
- Add green chillies, onions, curry leaves and fry until onion turns golden brown.
- Now add menthiaaku, coriander leaves and fry for 5minutes.
- Add fried bendakayalu/okra and fry for 5mintues and add garlic flakes & Salt.
- Dont close the lid. Cook until okra is well cooked.
- Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot.
