Cabbage Aloo Curry Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Cabbage - 250gms finely chopped.
  • Aloo/Potatoes - 2 medium chopped into cubes.
  • Onion - 1 finely chopped
  • Green Chilli Paste - 2tbsp or 3 green chillies chopped
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1tbsp
  • Fresh Coconut powder - 2tbsp
  • Curry leaves - 2stems
  • Avalu/mustard seeds - 1tsp
  • Jeelakarra/cumin seeds - 1tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 2tbsp

Method:

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Allow it to splutter.
  • Add curry leaves, onions and green chilli paste and fry for 5minutes.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 5minutes.
  • Add potatoes and fry until the potatoes are 3/4th cooked.
  • Now add cabbage, salt and fry until potatoes and cabbage is well cooked. (Add little bit water if required)
  • Add coconut powder, fry for 5minutes.
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
