Chikkudu Sondelu


Ingredients:
  • Chikkudu Seeds(Indian Broad Beans Seeds) - 250gms
  • Green Chillies - 5 chopped
  • Onion - 1 finely chopped
  • Garlic - 6 flakes chopped
  • Karvepaaku/Curry leaves - 2 stems
  • Avalu/mustard seeds - 1tsp
  • Jeelakarra/cumin seeds- 1tsp
  • Oil - 4tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Water

Method:
  • Boil chikkudukaya seeds with little salt.
  • Drain water and keep chikkudu seeds aside.
  • Now heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Allow it to splutter.
  • Add green chillies, onion, garlic and curry leaves and fry for 5minutes.
  • Add boiled chikkudu seeds and fry for 15minutes.
  • Serve hot as side dish or can be served as snack.
