Coconut Coriander Chutney


Ingredients:
  • Fresh Grated Coconut - 2cups
  • 1/2 bunch of Coriander leaves chopped
  • Green Chillies - 2
  • A pinch of tamarind or 1/2tsp lemon juice
  • Garlic  - 2 flakes
  • Curry leaves - 1stem
  • Avalu/Mustard seeds - 1tsp
  • Minapappu/Urad dal - 1tsp
  • Red Chillies - 2
  • Oil - 1tbsp
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  • Heat 1/2 tsp of oil in a pan. Add green chillies and fry for 5minutes.
  • Grind grated coconut, green chillies, tamarind, coriander leaves, garlic, salt with little water till it becomes smooth paste.
  • Now heat oil in the same pan add mustard seeds, minapappu/urad dal, and red chillies and fry for 5minutes. Add curry leaves and turn off the stove.
  • Add this tadka to grinded mixture and mix well.
  • Serve with Idli or Dosa.
