Banana Balls


What You Need:

  • Raw Banana - 1 cut into cubes
  • Senaga Pappu/Chana Dal - 1Cup 
  • Green Chillies - 2
  • Fresh Coconut - 3tbsp
  • Onion - 1 chop into 4pieces
  • Allam/Ginger - 1tsp
  • Rice powder - 4tbsp or more required
  • Coriander leaves  - 2tbsp chopped finely
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep fry

How To Cook:
  • Soak Senaga Pappu/Chana Dal for 3hours in water. Drain water and keep aside.
  • Boil chopped banana with salt in water until they are well cooked. Drain water and keep aside.
  • Grind soaked senaga pappu/chana dal, green chillies, fresh coconut, allam/ginger, onion and salt to a fine smooth mixture.
  • In a bowl mix well chopped banana, above grind-ed mixture, rice powder and coriander leaves.
  • Add more rice powder(if required) to make the mixture thick.
  • Make small balls with the dough in such way that banana should be stuffed inside and the mixture should be on outer-side.
  • Now heat oil in a pan. Deep fry these balls until they turn golden color.
  • Serve hot with tomato sauce or with coconut coriander chutney.
