Ingredients:
- Atukulu/Rice Flakes/poha - 500gms
- Onion - 1 big sliced
- Garlic - 15 to 20 flakes chopped
- Green Chillies - 5 cut into lengthwise
- Curry Leaves/Karvepaaku - 5 stems
- Peanuts/Pallilu - 2tbsp
- Putnalu/Roasted dal- 2tbsp
- Avalu/mustard seeds - 1 1/2tsp
- Jeelakarra/cumin seeds- 1 1/2tsp
- Turmeric powder/pasupu - 1tsp
- Red Chillies - 3
- Oil - 5tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.
- Once spluttering starts, add sliced green chillies, and fry for 1mintue.
- Now add sliced onions, garlic, peanuts, red chillies and putnalu and fry for few minutes or till the onion turns golden brown.
- Now add karvepaaku/curry leaves, salt and turmeric powder and fry for a minute.
- Add atukulu/poha and mix well all the ingredients and fry for 15 to 20minutes or until atukulu becomes crispy.
- Allow it to cool down then store it in a container.
