Coconut Peanut Chutney

Ingredients:
  • Fresh Grated Coconut - 2cups
  • Roasted Peanuts(pallilu) - 1/2cup
  • Green Chillies - 3
  • Tamarind - 1tsp soaked in water 
  • Garlic  - 2 flakes
  • Curry leaves - 1stem
  • Avalu/Mustard seeds - 1tsp
  • Minapappu/Urad dal - 1tsp
  • Dried Red Chillies - 2
  • Oil - 1tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves - 1tbsp
Method:
  • Heat 1/2 tsp of oil in a pan. Add green chillies and fry for 5minutes.
  • Grind grated coconut, peanuts, green chillies, tamarind, garlic, salt with little water to a fine paste.
  • Now heat oil in the same pan add mustard seeds, minapappu/urad dal, and red chillies and fry for 5minutes. Add curry leaves and turn off the stove.
  • Add this tadka to grinded mixture and mix well.
  • Garnish with Coriander leaves and serve with Idli or Dosa.
