Ingredients:
- Chikkudukayalu - 250gms chopped
- Onion - 1 finely chopped
- Green Chillies - 5 chopped
- Garlic - 5 flakes
- Curry Leaves/Karvepaaku - 1 stem
- Menthi Aaku/Fenugreek leaves - 2tbsp chopped
- Coriander leaves - 2tbsp finely chopped
- Nuvvula podi/ Seasame powder - 2tbsp
- Sugar - 1tsp
- Salt to taste
- Avalu/mustard seeds- 1tsp
- Jeelakarra/Cumin seeds - 1tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2tsp
- Oil - 2tbsp
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.
- Add green chillies, curry leaves and fry for 5mintues.
- Add onions, menthiaaku(fenugreek leaves), 1tbsp coriander leaves, garlic and turmeric powder. Fry till onions turns light golden brown.
- Now add chopped chikkudukayalu/broad beans and close the lid.
- Allow it to cook until they become tender.
- Now add nuvvula podi, sugar, salt and fry for 10mintues.
- Garnish it with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with rice and Coriander Pepper Rasam
