Ingredients:
- Tomatoes - 6 finely chopped
- Onion - 1 chopped
- Ginger Garlic paste - 1tsp
- Green Chilli - 1 chopped
- Garlic - 3flakes(optional)
- Curry leaves/karvepaaku - 1 stem
- Methi leaves/Fenugreek leaves - 2tbsp finely chopped
- Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp finely chopped
- Red Chilli powder - 1tbsp
- Coriander/dhaniya powder - 1tsp
- Methi powder/menthi podi - a pinch
- Mustard seeds/Avalu - 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds/jeelakarra - 1tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2tsp
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.
- Add green chillies, curry leaves and onions. Fry till onions turns golden color.
- Add ginger garlic paste, garlic, turmeric powder and fry for 5minutes.
- Add fenugreek leaves and coriander leaves and fry for 5minutes.
- Now add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become tender or for 15minutes.
- Add red chilli powder, dhaniya powder, methi powder and salt and cook for more 10minutes
- Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice and ghee or with rotis.
