Tomato Peanuts Chutney





Ingredients:

  • Tomatoes -3 cut int to two halfs
  • Roasted peanuts - 2 or 3 tbsp
  • Onion - 1 cut into cubes
  • Green chillies - 3
  • Garlic - 4 flakes
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2bunch
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Avalu/mustard seeds - 1tsp
  • Curry leaves - 2 stems

Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add green chillies and fry for 2minutes. Remove it and keep aside.
  • In the same pan add onions and fry for 5minutes. Remove it and keep aside.
  • Now add tomatoes in the same and fry for 10 to 15minutes or until they are almost cooked.
  • Grind fried tomatoes, peanuts, green chillies, onions, garlic, coriander leaves and salt.
  • Now heat 1tablespoon of oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves and fry for 2minutes.
  • Add this tadka/popu to the grinded mixture.
