Ingredients:
- Kandi Pappu (Toor dal) - 1 cup
- 2 Cups of water
- Garlic - 4 flakes
- Karvepaaku (Curry Leaves) - 2 Stems
- Jeelakarra (Cumin seeds) - 1 teaspoon
- Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
Method :
- Wash kandi pappu thoroughly.
- Mash garlic cloves and Jeelakarra and keep aside.
- Now take a Pressure cooker. Add kandi pappu, water, mashed garlic and jeelakarra, karvepaaku, oil and turmeric powder.
- Pressure cook it for 15minutes in low flame.
- Remove it and add salt according to taste.
- Serve hot with rice and ghee.
